1955 Buick Century Model 66 R

This fully restored example was the feature car at the Buick Open car show in Puyallup Washington in 1955. Numbers matching finished in Cherokee red over white, it’s powered by a 236 hp, 322 ci V8 with 2-speed a Hydra-Matic transmission.

The 66R was the first Buick to go over 100 MPH. An upgraded version was built for use by the California Highway Patrol.

With Buick's mightiest V8 engine-236 horsepower-on Buick's most compact wheelbase of 122 inches, the Century 2 door offered the highest-horsepower-per-dollar of any car in America in 1955

The motor Nail head was a term used for v8s that had more of a straight up and down heads vs at a 90 degree angle.
