1959 Desoto Firesweep Seville

A beautifully restored classic Desoto. Painted in Bahama Blue with a white roof. Named after Spanish Explorer Hernando Desoto. Built by Chrysler as a “mid line” model from 1928 - 1961. Features Bubble glass windscreen and triple rocket launcher tail lights. The Calypso style interior features power steering, power brakes, dashboard clock and rear view mirror, push-button radio/transmission and whitewall tires. The DeSoto models of the late 1950s had some of the most potent engines in the industry. This Firesweep is equipped with a 290 horsepower overhead valve 361 cubic-inch V8 engine, with 10.0:1 compression, hydraulic valve lifters, a Carter two-barrel carburetor, five main bearings, mated to a 3 speed “Push Button” automatic transmission.
